Meet Chef Mizue
My Story

I am Chef Mizue, a private chef based on the Gold Coast with a Japanese background. I am also a proud mother of 4 beautifully grown-up children. My love for food began at a very young age, watching my parents work hard to grow their farming business. They always showed me how food was grown and how to appreciate food.
They also showed me how to be passionate and proud of what they do.​
As a mother of 4 children myself, while working many hours in the restaurants including hatted restaurants and multi-award winning restaurants as a sous chef or a senior chef nights and days, I always tried my best to put nutritious food on my table at home. I would always tell them, " Make sure you eat everything because I cooked a well balanced meal!"
As my children grew and some left home, I reached a new chapter in my life. This allowed me to realign my chef's career and truly follow my passion.

For me, food is about connection. It's about bringing people together, creating moments, and making others feel happy and cared for through what I cook. That is what drives me and what I cook for.

I love food, and I love my life - as a daughter, a mother, a wife and a chef. This is the heart of my business and the inspiration behind its name. It may be a long name, but it truly reflects who I am and what I stand for.
